Assistant Media Producer, Daily Lift

You will complete media projects and manage production processes as assigned by the Senior Producer.  Primarily, you will work with the JSH Daily Lift Executive Producer to produce the Daily Lift podcast.  By applying skills in audio/video recording, editing, mixing and mastering as well as web publishing, you are responsible for creating and publishing this daily message.


Produces the Daily Lift podcast series and manages the ongoing associated activity, including website posting and distribution.  (50%)
Creates and produces video and audio projects / programs or live performances – including but not limited to writing, directing, recording, editing, graphics and the supervision of the following activities: recording, staging, scoring, graphics, editing and content delivery.  (25%)
Functions as an audio engineer for studio recording sessions. (20%)
Stays abreast of current technology and techniques in media production.  Helps to implement efficiency across the organization.  (5%)

Regular Contacts

B&MPS staff members, JSH Executive Producer, other TMC employees, local public, branch church members.




College degree or the equivalent training and/or experience in producing and editing digital audio and video content.


Experience and training in audio and video production.  Familiarity with hosting and supporting live in-person and online events.  A knowledge of and the ability to utilize social media platforms is desired.  Strong interpersonal and conversational skills needed.  Additionally, demonstrable writing and research skills including good grammar, editing and proofing ability are desired.  Willing to learn new skills is a must.

Technology Skills

Proficient skills in editing video with Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent.  Experience editing audio with Pro Tools is highly desired.  Graphic design and photo editing experience is desired. Experience with other audio/video/design software including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects; as well as social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc is highly desired.  Experience with webinar and/or distance learning tools is desired.  Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel are required.

Work Environment

The Assistant Media Producer has the sensitivity to elicit a solid performance from non-professional performers that allows mutual trust reflected in an atmosphere of calm, encouragement, and respect to flourish during each production. This position is sensitive to the dynamic needs of the organization and its mission. This position requires occasional domestic and international travel.  Flexibility to support planned evening and weekend events is needed. Mother Church membership is required.

Christian Science Information

Mother Church membership is required. Primary Class Instruction is preferred, but not required.
