College student Christian Scientists wanted for summer jobs for Christian Science Monitor outreach project in Seattle.

$20/hour – Active outdoor work – Experience Seattle!

The Christian Science Literature Joint Distribution Committee (CSL-JDC) in the Seattle area invites Christian Scientists who are college students, or equivalent or recently graduated, or recently completed military service, to apply for summer jobs in Seattle for an outreach project to promote The Christian Science Monitor. CSL-JDC, a joint church committee representing Seattle-area Churches of Christ, Scientist, will hire a team of two to work for up to 8 weeks during the summer 2022 offering sample copies and gift subscriptions and to document the project with video. The team will be based in the University District in Seattle and will travel extensively throughout the Seattle region using public transportation. We seek friendly, adventurous, hard-working candidates to serve as ambassadors for the sponsoring Christian Science branch churches and accurately communicate the virtues of The Christian Science Monitor to a diversity of individuals and organizations. Attendance at church services of sponsoring churches and after-church socializing is expected. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and able to prove ability to legally work in the United States. You may apply as an individual or a team of two. We are offering $20 per hour, and we’ll also pay worker’s rent at Asher House in Seattle, subject to qualification and approval of housing application.

June 1 Arrive in Seattle
June 2 to 3 Project planning and preparation
June 6 to July 22 Outreach work (7 weeks)
July 25 to 27 Project wrap-up and reporting
(Project schedule may be adjusted for worker availability and other needs.)
